Pabna Mental Hospital | A Short Documentary, With Some Rear Information.

Pabna Mental Hospital:- 

Pabna Mental Hospital, which is the first and only mental hospital in Bangladesh. It was first established in 1957 by the Civil Surgeon of Pabna District in the local zamindar home. The next 1959 was placed at 111.25 acres of land in Hemayetpur, eight kilometers away from the main city. 

 The number of beds in the initial condition was 60. It was later increased to 200 promotions. Then in 1966 more 200 beds were added. In this hospital, 280 beds have been provided free of 400 beds and the remaining 120 beds are provided. Currently trying to increase the number of bed numbers. 

The director of the hospital here is the responsibility of the administrative head There are 18 total wards in the hospital, among which there are 13 wards And number of women wards 5 11 out of the 13 wards of the male wad and the other two have to pay. Four of the female wards are free to pay for the free and the remaining one. 




There are a total of 365 approved posts in this hospital. Among them are doctors, psychologists, biologists, psychiatrists, social workers. There are also nurses, pharmacists, radiographers, therapists, and administrative assistants. 

The hospital is treated in patients of all parts of the country. Here there are two separate categories for patients and outside patients. Patients not less than 18 years of age and 60 years old are not admitted to hospital. Basically, the admission of hospital admission is outlined. Free medicines are provided to outpatient patients. It is advisable to see them in the outdoors after 15 days, until the disease is not good. When the patient was addicted, he was admitted to the paying bed. Although drug therapy is still the main treatment of group therapy and professional therapies and patients are provided. In-patient patients do regular checkups, on-duty doctors. Here the tools of X-ray, Pathology, Laboratory, ECG etc. are used regularly. 

Between 1966-1998, around 90000 patients were treated in outpatient and around 2800 patients were treated in the heart. 
The patients of the hospital are rehabilitated and rehabilitated by the government through the registered Welfare Association. These medicines are supplied and they are provided through this society. Those who come back healthy, different jobs are arranged. The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, provides regular annual donations.
